1. Sign up, registration and payment
You can sign up for a course by completing a form on our site. After registration you will receive further information and an invoice by e-mail. Payment in cash or after the course is not possible. Anyone over 18 years can register. Registration is not transferable. Citadel reserves the right of admission.
2. Cooling-off period, refund and change
After registration you have a legal cooling-off period of 14 days to cancel or change your registration free of charge (as long as the course has not yet started). You can change courses only once and after having agreed so with Citadel. You can change courses only before the course starts or after the first lesson. Regardless of the situation, no refund is possible from the day the course starts.
Material can in no case be exchanged nor returned.
3. Modifications and cancellation by Citadel
While we strive to avoid changes where possible, Citadel reserves the right to change the schedule and instructor for a group course. If a change in schedule means that a student cannot follow the course, they are of course entitled to a refund of their tuition, which will take place within 10 business days from the date of cancellation.
In case of insufficient registrations, Citadel reserves the right to cancel a course. In that case, we will inform you at least 3 days before the start that a course has been cancelled. If there are no alternative courses or if these do not suit the student, the course fee will be refunded within 10 working days (from the date of cancellation).
4. Private lessons (customization)
The content and duration of a series of private lessons are determined in accordance with Citadel. Private lessons are also paid in advance. When booking private lessons, a minimum of a package of six hours applies, with the exception of a make-up lesson for a student who takes group lessons. A private lesson can be cancelled free of charge until 24 hours in advance. When cancelled later, the class will be charged. The hours included in one same package can be taken within six months from the date when they were purchased.
5. Incompany courses
Incompany courses are booked by paying 50% at the time of accepting the quote and the remaining 50% 14 days before the start of the course. To book an incompany course a minimum of a twenty-hour package applies. After the quote has been accepted, the starting date can be changed once.
A lesson can be cancelled free of charge until 24 hours in advance. When cancelled later, the class will be charged. The hours included in one same package can be taken within six months from the start date.
6. Material
When you sign up for a face-to-face course, you can order all necessary material during your registration. When you purchase the material from us, it will be ready at the first lesson. Students can also purchase the material themselves through other means.
Citadel is not responsible for damages the student may cause to his material, or when the student loses his/her material. In case the student order the material himself/herself, it is also the student who is responsible for purchasing the right material.
7. Pictures on social media
During class, the teacher may want to take a picture of the class to post it on Citadel’s social media. You are never obliged to participate.
8. Extraordinary measures due to coronavirus
We do our best to ensure that Citadel is a safe location to learn languages and therefore follow the guidelines of the RIVM at all times.
We will contact the students as soon as possible in case the teacher shows symptoms consistent with the coronavirus. Before the results of a medical test are in, we will find a replacement teacher, have the lessons continue online, or, if the above options are not possible, cancel the lessons. Students are also asked to notify their teacher if they show symptoms consistent with the coronavirus and to keep them informed of their health status. If you are experiencing symptoms and before you get a negative result on a medical test, you should not attend classroom classes.
Despite all the precautions taken, the chance, however small, of getting infected in the classroom or on your way here remains. With your registration you agree to this risk.
9. Communication and privacy
Citadel will communicate exclusively with the person who is following or will follow a course. Information on (among other) his or her goals, level, process of signing up or progress will only be discussed with the (potential) student. By doing so, we can guarantee the privacy of our students.
10. Complaints
If you have a complaint, you can pass it on to mrs. L. Álvarez Francés (director) at leonor@citadelspaans.nl. We do our best to respond within 4 weeks. Your complaint will of course be treated confidentially.
